Zimmermann, H.-J. Fuzzy programming and linear programming with several objective functions. (English) Zbl 0548.90076 Fuzzy sets and decision analysis, TIMS Stud. Manage. Sci. 20, 109-121 (1984). [For the entire collection see Zbl 0534.00023.] The paper is a reprint from Fuzzy Sets Syst. 1, 45-55 (1978; Zbl 0364.90065). The main idea in this paper consists in replacing a linear vector maximum problem with a fuzzy linear program, associating a fuzzy goal - a fuzzy set on the alternative space - with each objective function. A solution of the fuzzy program is regarded as a compromise solution to the initial problem. The paper inspired many later works developing a new approach, called fuzzy approach, to the multicriterial programming in general (not only to the linear one).
