Further stereological formulae for spatial fibre processes. (English) Zbl 0547.60018
Summary: For spatial fibre processes this paper suggests stereological methods for the determination of the length density $$L_ V$$, the spatial rose of directions and the reduced second moment function, which characterizes the second-order properties (variances, correlations). The bases are projections of thin slices and planar sections in which the fibre orientation in intersection points is measurable.
