The property of Kelley and confluent mappings. (English) Zbl 0544.54028

The author’s summary: ”In 1977 R. W. Wardle introduced and investigated a pointwise version of the property of Kelley. In this paper preservation of the property under mappings is studied which satisfy some local conditions (e.g. confluency relative to a point). As a consequence the author proves that continua which are homogeneous with respect to open mappings have the property of Kelley”.
The question whether homogeneity with respect to the class of confluent mappings implies the property of Kelley of a continuum has been answered negatively by H. Kato [see the following review].
