A value for $$n$$-person games. (English) Zbl 0050.14404
Contrib. Theory of Games, II, Ann. Math. Stud. No. 28, 307-317 (1953).
In order to define a value to a player in a general $$n$$-person game, imagine that, starting from a single player, coalitions are formed by adding the other players one by one. Assign to every player the amount which has accrued to the coalition through his adherence. The value is then the average of these amounts, taking all possible orders of admittance into consideration. The author shows that this value is the only one which satisfies certain reasonable conditions.
