Transversal oscillations of inclined incandescence solid. (Russian) Zbl 1150.74461

The authors determine forms of forced transversal oscillations of incandescence solid (rod) in the special electrical lamps under the action of perturbating harmonic load. The rod is inclined under some angle to horizontal direction. The relevant differential equation has the form \[ \mu \frac{\partial^2 u}{\partial t^2} + \alpha \frac{\partial^4 u}{\partial x^4} + (\mu g L \sin \beta)\frac{\partial^2 u}{\partial x^2} = \mu g \cos \beta. \] The cases of rigid and hingely fixing of the rod to current inputs are considered.
