Summary: Query authentication in outsourced database refers to the client users’ verifying the authenticity of data resource, correctness of query operation and consistency of query results in outsourced database. In this paper, a query-verifying scheme of outsourced database based on fragile watermark is proposed. In the scheme, the randomized ordered binary pairs, which are generated by chaotic equation, is utilized as the watermark signal and control signal for watermark embedding, the watermark is embedded into numeric data in the database by changing the parity of their low order digits under the control of the secret key, and the query is verified by detecting the watermarks in the query result set. The scheme has little redundant storage size and low flow load of network, and the tamper with the database can be located at fine grain.
