Heilongjiang Univ. 33, No. 1, 65-71 (2016). Summary: This paper considers a repairable system with three states and its repairman having multiple delay vacations. It is assumed that the first kind of failure of system after repair can be “as good as new”, the second kind of failure of system after repair cannot be “as good as new”. The replacement policy is considered based on the failure number of the system. The expressions of the average cost rate \(C(N)\) and the average repair time \(R(N)\) are derived by using geometric process theory and renewal process theory. Finally, the existence of the results is illustrated through a numerical example.
