Sufficient conditions for the uniform asymptotic stability (in the large) of the trivial solution of following fourth order nonlinear differential equation \(\bar x+\psi (\ddot x)\dddot x+\phi (\dot x,\ddot x)+g(x,\dot x)+f(x)=P(t,x,\dot x,\ddot x,\dddot x)\) are given. We prove a stability theorem that extends earlier results.
