Summary: An image fusion algorithm with double-match degree union direction and region-energy based on wavelet transformation through the researching of several image fusion basic methods is proposed. The double-match degree fusion rule is adopted to the low frequency components, but the union direction and region energy weighting algorithm is used to the high frequency components. Experimental results show that the image fusion algorithm leads the information of the low-frequency part to be more particular, and the high-frequency part to reserve the useful detail and the edge information. Finally, the images have higher definition.
