On the geometry of motion in the semi-Euclidean space. (English) Zbl 0901.22011

About all one can say of this paper is that it gives a discussion of the group \(O(m,n)\) and its algebra and which is analogous to the usual discussion of \(O(3)\) and rigid body motion in classical mechanics. The last section discusses the equivalent, in \(O(m,n)\) of the “points with zero velocity” problem in mechanics. It seems that this last problem merely notices that a real skew matrix has even rank.
