Sci. 27, No. 3, 6-8 (2000). Summary: We obtain an inequality for the eigenvalues of the sum \(A+B\) of two self-conjugate quaternion matrices \(A\) and \(B\). Also, we correct an error in a theorem abut the eigenvalues of Hermitian matrices in the book by R. A. Horn and C. R. Johnson [Matrix analysis (1985; Zbl 0576.15001)].
