Wing, S. K.; Nicholson, H. Frequency-response method for linear multivariable systems simplification. (English) Zbl 0668.93044 IEE Proc., Part D 135, No. 6, 381-394 (1988). A frequency response method is presented for the simplification of linear multivariable systems. The method uses the properties of the characteristic loci and characteristic vectors of a transfer function matrix, which coefficients expressed in rational fractions of s, under analytic perturbation. Among other advantages, the order or the reduced model can be prespecified and certain dynamical characteristics retained.
