The Indian official statistical system revisited.

*(English)*Zbl 1370.62043Summary: Certain discrepancies in data sources for estimating the household consumption expenditure to derive Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of India are discussed in this paper. Simple implementable strategies are suggested to improve the estimation of GDP.
