New directions in fuzzy mathematics. (English) Zbl 1432.03109

Summary: We discuss two recent papers that could influence the future of fuzzy mathematics. One paper shows that theoretical results of many variants of fuzzy sets are not new. The other introduces the concept of dialectic synthesis to fuzzy logic.
