Amendola, Giovambattista; Manes, Adele A note on the reference configuration of a thermoelastic solid. (English) Zbl 0672.73003 Meccanica 23, No. 3, 179-181 (1988). Summary: We show that in continuum thermodynamics if one natural reference configuration at uniform temperature exists, for which the solid is homogeneous and isotropic, there is an infinite number of these configurations, temperatures of which vary in a given range.
