Summary: For solving multi-supplier selection problems with multiple products and discounts, a problem-specific shuffled frog leaping algorithm (SFLA) is designed. The basic concept and the principle of SFLA are briefly introduced. The coding style, operators and executive procedures are described. Through an instance, the high performance and the reason of SFLA over genetic algorithm (GA) in computational time and quality of solution are highlighted and analyzed.
