Betrachtet wird die asymptotische Symmetrie von Lösungen des Problems \[ \Delta u+ g(u)= 0\quad \text{in } B_2(0)\backslash \{0\},\quad u> 0,\quad u\in C^2(B_2(0)\backslash \{0\}), \] wobei \(B_2(0)\) die \(n\)-dimensionale Kugel um \(0\) vom Radius 2 bedeutet. L. A. Caffarelli, B. Gidas and J. Spruck haben in [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 42, No. 3, 271-297 (1989; Zbl 0702.35085)] unter geeigneten Voraussetzungen über \(g\) das Resultat: Für \(x\to 0\) gilt \(u(x)= (1+ o(1)) \overline u(x)\) mit \(\overline u(t)= {1\over \mu(s)} \int_s u(t\omega) d\mu\) erhalten. Verf. erhält das gleiche Resultat under schwächeren Voraussetzungen über \(g\) und dehnt es andererseits auf Funktionen der Form \(g(r, s)\) mit \(r= |x|\) und \(s= u(x)\) aus.
