Lakshminarayanan, Eh. S. Asymptotics with respect to time for t\(\to \infty\) of the solution of the Cauchy problem for a degenerate system of hydrodynamics. (Russian) Zbl 0625.76032 Boundary value problems of mathematical physics and some questions of the theory of functional spaces, Collect. sci. Works, Moskva 1985, 36-56 (1985). [For the entire collection see Zbl 0622.00013.] A Cauchy problem for a degenerate system of hydrodynamics is considered, which describes the flow of a viscous incompressible liquid with regard to Coriolis forces. Similar problems were investigated already earlier by M. A. Kibel in his monograph on hydrodynamic methods for short- range weather-forecasts, Moskva (1957). Using results of that former investigation by means of Fourier transformations an asymptotic expansion of the solution of the problem mentioned above is constructed and the behaviour of the solution for \(t\to \infty\) is estimated.
