Iterative identification of hysteresis in Maxwell’s equations. (English) Zbl 1127.78012

The purpose of the present paper is two-fold: (i) to identify Preisach hysteresis operators in the magnetic field equations and (ii) to propose several iterative methods for solving this inverse problem. The methods developed in this paper are applied to the identification of hysteresis in piezoelectricity.
