An improved particle swarm optimizer for parametric optimization of flexible satellite controller. (English) Zbl 1241.70039

The authors treat the problem of parametric optimization of a flexible satellite controller and propose an improved particle swarm optimization with a cross operation which interchanges local optima between three particles. In fact this optimization can be applied to a flexible satellite control having solar wing and antennae.
