Guo, Nailong; Tian, Lixin Ellipticity of parabolized stability equations of nonparallel incompressible boundary layer flow. (English) Zbl 1258.35166 J. N. C. Acad. Sci. 123, No. 4, 263-269 (2007). Summary: The remnants of ellipticity in the parabolized stability equations for three-dimensional nonparallel incompressible boundary layer flow are studied, the detailed methods for removing the ellipticity are suggested, and the consistency of solutions between the parabolized stability equations and the fully elliptic problem is proved.
