Comparison of numerical methods in transonic aerodynamics. (English) Zbl 0778.76083

Summary: Although they are not always unique, Euler solutions have an advantage over potential flow calculations because of the way vortex sheets can be captured in three dimensions. An improved estimate of the wave drag may be obtained through transformation of the entropy inequality.
