Edgar, G. A. Pi: Difficult or easy? Mathematical considerations for the multidigit computation of pi. (English) Zbl 0627.65016 Math. Mag. 60, 141-150 (1987). The author discusses an introduction to the computational complexity concerning the multi-digit computation of the numbers \(\pi\), e and other few mathematical constants. He considers only power series, and no treatment on the acceleration of convergence, or other rapidly converging procedures to compute the above constants.
