Mota, João Mauricio Araujo; Demétrio, Clarice Garcia Borges A superparasitism model as a particular case of an animal abundance model. (Portuguese. English summary) Zbl 1413.92051 Rev. Mat. Estat. 23, No. 3, 97-106 (2005). Summary: In this work, we show that the model of K. G. Janardan et al. [J. Stat. Plann. Inference 61, No. 2, 193–201 (1997; Zbl 1090.62574)], used to describe the distribution of the number of Callosobracus maculatus’s eggs in mung beans, is a particular case of the model proposed by M. J. Faddy [Biom. J. 39, No. 4, 431–440 (1997; Zbl 0890.62074)] for the study of animal abundance.
