Danil’chenko, V. E.; Kovalenko, P. I.; Ostapenko, V. V.; Yakovleva, A. P. A game theory approach to control of water flow in irrigation canals. (English. Russian original) Zbl 0543.90073 Sov. Autom. Control 16, No. 3, 56-61 (1983); translation from Avtomatika 1983, No. 3, 58-63 (1983). Summary: A simple model of wave processes in open channels is suggested. In this model the flow rate is a discontinuous function of time. Solution of a water flow control problem with nonstationary water consumption is reduced to a differential game of a water supplier and a consumer. An algorithm for control of water development works is developed, minimizing the number of mode transitions.
