Comellas, Francesc; Yebra, J. Luis A. Exact solutions for minimax optimization problems. (English) Zbl 1125.90061 Am. Math. Mon. 112, No. 5, 454-458 (2005). In the paper, only for a few simple examples, the exact minimum of the maximum of a finite number of smooth functions over \(\mathbb R^n,\;n=2,3\) is elementary calculated by using the well-known Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions of minimax-problems. But this usually has been done in undergraduate lectures of mathematical programming since more than 30 years.
