Comput. 6, No. 2, 171-188 (1998). The authors apply ideas from the field of genetic algorithms to model and parameter estimation of ordinary differential equations. The article describes a hybrid algorithm, based on evolutionary modelling and present some numerical results which illustrate the effect of applying the algorithm, to estimate the solution of some simple, low-dimensional problems.
