The heat transfer to and from a surface can be influenced by natural convection, transition and the onset of separation, and these phenomena occur separately and together in many engineering flows. This paper describes a calculation method which, based on the solution of boundary layer equations, represents the resulting effects. Sample results are presented for the flow in axisymmetric ducts with uniform wall temperature.
