Caflisch, Russel E.; Siegel, Michael A semi-analytic approach to Euler singularities. (English) Zbl 1100.76009 Methods Appl. Anal. 11, No. 3, 423-430 (2004). One proposes two approaches to the construction of singular solutions for the Euler equations: one via numerical simulation of complex traveling wave solutions, and another one via the construction of a perturbation of singular real solution. Numerical results illustrates the singularity behaviour of the complex traveling wave, and the paper concludes with prospects for future research.
