Travelling waves of the perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation. (English) Zbl 1101.35072

Summary: The nonlinear Schrödinger equation, with Kerr law nonlinearity, along with its perturbation terms is considered. The travelling wave ansatz is used to study the equation along with its perturbation terms that arises due to nonlinear dispersion and Raman scattering. The modelling of the cnoidal waves is studied in presence of these perturbation terms. Finally, the limiting case of the cnoidal waves are also considered.
