The first part of the book is devoted to recent developments in mathematical and numerical models for the analysis and the numerical approximation of vortex flows. The second part is devoted to numerical studies focusing on vortex generation problems around obstacles and on related boundary layer and wake models. The third part concentrates on new developments in the design of contour dynamics and vortex methods and hybrid finite-difference vortex methods. In part IV are grouped the papers that specifically address 3 dimensional incompressible flows: vortex sheets, vortex reconnection and related problems. Finally Part V is devoted to numerical computations of reacting and compressible flows.
