A quasi-two-dimensional charged particle in a tilted magnetic field: Asymptotic properties of the spectrum. (English) Zbl 0925.35117

Summary: A model of a quantum-mechanical particle in contact interaction with a plane in the presence of a homogeneous magnetic field is discussed. We show that, for large values of the interaction constant, the Hamiltonian of such a system has a point spectrum whose low-energy part is close to the Landau level system.
