Es sei \(f(m)\) für ganzes \(m\geqq 1\) eine additive zahlentheoretische Funktion (d. h. für \((m,n)=1\) ist \(f(mn)=f(m)+f(n)\)). Für jede Primzahl \(p\) werde \[ f(p^\alpha)=f(p), \quad |f(p)|\leqq 1 \tag{1} \] vorausgesetzt, und es sei \[ A_n =\sum_{p<n}\frac{f(p)}p, \quad B_n=\left(\sum_{p<n}\frac{f^2(p)}p\right)^{\frac 12}, \] wo \(p\) die Primzahlen \(< n\) durchläuft. Weiter sei \(\omega\) eine reelle Zahl und \(K_n\) die Anzahl derjenigen natürlichen Zahlen \(m\leqq n\), für die \(f(m)< A_n+\omega\sqrt 2\cdot B_n\) ist. Verf. beweisen: \[ \lim_{n\to \infty} \frac{K_n}n = \pi^{-\frac 12}\int\limits_{-\infty}^\omega e^{-u^2}\,du. \] Verf. behaupten noch (ohne Beweis), daß die erste der beiden Voraussetzungen (1) fortgelassen werden kann, und daß die zweite Voraussetzung (1) durch eine schwächere Voraussetzung ersetzt werden kann.
