Nazarov, S. A.; Pileckas, K. I. Reynolds flow of a fluid in a thin three-dimensional channel. (Russian. English summary) Zbl 0715.76011 Lit. Mat. Sb. 30, No. 4, 772-783 (1990). Summary: The limiting differential equation describing a three-dimensional flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a thin channel with a varying profile is derived. This equation is analogous to the well known Reynolds equation for the motion of a fluid between two close surfaces. The full asymptotic expansion of the solution of the Navier-Stokes problem is constructed and substantiated.
